I write features and investigative reporting for newspapers and magazines, mostly in Canada. In recent years I’ve covered, among other things, the COVID-19 pandemic in Ontario, the Raptors championship run, the fall of Rob Ford, the rise of Donald Trump and the growth of Canada’s new right. I’m a former writer, reporter and editor for, among others, the National Post, Canadian Business, Maclean’s, the Edmonton Journal and the Tyee. I’ve been published in Politico Magazine, Flare, Kosovo 2.0 and others. I’ve lost major awards in feature writing, international reporting and column writing and won lessers awards for investigative reporting, news writing, and public interest journalism.
